19 of Medvedev's twenty-one titles have been achieved on hard courts
A comeback the Russian player won his maiden trophy for nearly 30 months with a win over Corentin Moutet in the tournament championship match.
The Russian, a former number one, has endured a challenging year, winning just a single victory at the big events and suffering a difficult moment at the American major.
Medvedev's inconsistency on the tennis tour - and issues with his serve in especial - caused him exiting of the world's top 10 and ultimately splitting with long-time mentor Gilles Cervara.
Currently working with his coach and his other coach, the tennis star has gradually advanced in the recent weeks - culminating in a closely contested competitive win over opponent Moutet.
This marks the player's maiden title following the Rome competition and maiden on a hardcourt since spring of 2023.
Victory also signifies Medvedev has achieved 21 titles at twenty-one different events.
"This marks the first occasion I am participating in a competition with my two daughters together, so to secure a championship is particularly special," stated ranked player Medvedev.
"This championship is in tribute of my younger daughter Victoria, because the maiden victory I got when my older daughter her name was born was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had lost his last six title deciders, featuring in Halle earlier this year.
The player's retrieving play style and recurring outbursts on the playing surface had led some to question if his ability to play at the elite level was concluded.
Yet the 29-year-old has made changes in the last few weeks, striving to approach the net and perform positively, backed up by an improved serving game.
He came back from a break down in the first set against the tricky Frenchman, securing four of the last five games to take the lead.
The competitors exchanged breaks in the following set before the challenger, bidding for his maiden tour championship, gained dominance to create a third set.
The opponent rescued four early opportunities in a tight deciding set before the champion broke to 15 to secure the win.
Appropriately, the winner secured the title with a shot at the net, with the Frenchman incapable to handle a volley after a lengthy match.
